In 2010 Clo&Lou was born: fulfilling a distant desire to express oneself creatively and meeting another culture.

October 15th, 2009: at the bend in a dirt road, bordered with rice fields, I go into a small and narrow alleyway, where dense trees and tall grass grow on both sides. I continue on my way, meet a cockerel which flaps its wings a little while seeing me, and I finally come out onto small wooden houses. At the back, a workshop stands out. Some artisans bustle about working silver making all kinds of jewelry, items and small accessories. A man welcomes me. His name is Wayan. He introduces me to his wife and to his two children. The grandmother watches me from afar, and the aunts and uncles shake hands with me.

This first contact marked the beginning of a professional relationship that has lasted for twelve years now, as well as the beginning of a friendship, built over the years.

This first trip marked the meeting with a Balinese family, with an authentic know-how, a culture and values, which have continued to accompany me ever since, and which have shaped Clo&Lou brand’ spirit.

For three years, the brand became a reality and grew. I established my two workshops in Paris and in Cap Ferret. Both inspired by the elegance and the artistic and cultural life of the capital, but also by the authentic charm of the Arcachon Bay, by its serenity and its nature, I offer costume jewelry reflecting these values and qualities.

From the drawing to the setting of the jewel, each step is important and taken with the greatest care. Cutting, drilling, welding, filing, assemblage, polishing and finishing. Rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets, all in silver or in gold plated on silver, are handmade and created in respect of craftsmanship and of these specialized techniques.

Quality materials also intertwine to give birth to less ephemeral and more precious jewelry. Precious metals such as Silver 925 and Vermeil can be found next to passemanterie, gold and silver weavings, pearls, rough diamond, and semi-precious stones such as lapis lazuli, labradorite, amazonite, moonstone, or even garnet, offering different virtues and benefits thanks to their natural properties.

Thus, the combination of materials, the harmony of colors and the know-how are the pillars of the creations and of the different collections at Clo&Lou. Season after season I reinvent my jewelry, allowing me to offer you new and various pieces, always thanks to passion, authenticity and creativity.

Our creations are stamped with the hallmark 925 and with the CLO&LOU maker’s hallmark. These hallmarks are mandatory and guarantee the quality of precious metal jewelry as well as their authenticity.
